My God is Trustworthy
When we end our prayers with the word “amen”, we are declaring our trust in God. He is a God who keeps His promises, as Psalm 145 points out.
Five Minutes
When Frances Havergal had five minutes on her hands, she didn’t waste them away, but used them productively. This is a lost art in our day!
His Blood Brings Us Near
Jesus’ spilled blood opened a way for people to be reconciled with God. When you need to be close to God, plead the blood!
A Leper’s Transformation
A leper who found faith became a great witness to the saving grace of Jesus! Be inspired by her story today.
What is faith?
Wally Herron was a missionary pilot known as the Condor of the Jungle. Early in his life he learned what real faith is – not sitting waiting for God to move, but acting and believing that God will help you.
I’ll Sing Through the Night
As we face our battles, we can sing God’s praise with hands lifted high, trusting that God will bring us victory.
I’ll Fight on My Knees
We all fight battles in this life, and Phil Wickam’s song reminds us that when we fight, we do so prayerfully and worshipfully
God’s Listening Ear
Christmas should be a time of much prayer, because as God promised Zechariah, He listens when we pray.
Don’t Forget the Suffering Christians
The closing words of Popov's books call Christians in free lands to support those who are persecuted.
Asking for Deliverance
In Hezekiah's prayer, he emphasizes the importance of not just complaining to God about our problems but also asking for His help and deliverance.
Declaring God’s greatness
In 2 Kings 19:15, Hezekiah's prayer exemplifies the power of acknowledging God's greatness before presenting our troubles. This order is crucial; complaining without declaring God's greatness is futile.
“Spreading out” your problems before God
Just as Hezekiah spread his concerns before the Lord, we should bring our challenges to God, allowing Him to work in our lives. This act of prayer can bring peace and alleviate needless pain.
