I Owe You Everything is a meaningful album for me. It is a very personal collection of songs. The original album title was “Prayers and Hymns” - but I felt “I Owe You Everything” summed the album up in a slightly better way. Nonetheless, this is
exactly that, a collection of personal prayers and hymns that have a special place in my heart. It is my prayer that they will accompany you on your daily journey with God.
“Give thanks in all circumstance,” says Paul, “for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). And so may you live a life of deep gratitude, always letting “I Owe You Everything” be your prayer.
Luke
God bless South Africa, Lord heal our land
God save South Africa, we’re in Your hands
We are Your children, You are our God
Protect our nation, God bless South Africa
Holy Spirit hear our prayer
We need You to intervene
Let God’s people rise as one
To take a stand, to save our land
Chorus
This is our country, this is our home
We need Jesus to wash us clean
Let Your mercy rain on us
We need You now, we need You now
God bless South Africa
We need You now... we need You now

I know sometimes its hard to go on
With the pressures that we face each day
We feel like there’s no hope at all
And we wish we could just run away
But when we think about what you did for us
The sacrifice that you made
We figure out that our lives aren’t so bad
‘Cause by your blood we are saved
And so we say... You lift me up
You lift me up, when I call out your name
You lift me up, when I sing your praise
You lift me up, now I know I am saved
You lift me up, every day
You lift me up, when I’m feeling down
You lift me up, now I stand on higher ground
I can’t imagine the pain and suffering
That you were made to endure
Just goes to show your amazing grace
And your mercy and love so pure
Because of this selfless act
We are no longer condemned by sin
We are set free from the burdens in life
And now the enemy can never win
And so we say... You lift me up
Chorus
Jesus my Lord, I love You,
Saviour and friend
I don’t deserve what You give,
but You’re my only hope
Closer I come, take my hand,
lead me to the cross
Yours is my heart, and my soul,
draw me nearer still
Jesus I owe You everything,
for the grace you poured on me
Jesus I’ll give You everything
How can I repay?
Or find words to say thank You
Light of the world, fill my life,
You alone can see
I lay it all down, I sacrifice,
my life belongs to You

I keep falling in love with You
Over and over and I don’t know why
I keep finding myself in You
Without You I’m lost, I don’t know what to do
I wanna bathe in Your sea of grace
I wanna reach my hand and touch Your face
Beautiful Jesus, filled with forgiveness
You are my saving grace
Beautiful Jesus, covered in goodness
You are my resting place

Holy God, hear my prayer, hear my song
I’ve been living for myself for much too long
But in Your face... I’ve found my hiding place
And in Your fire... I’ve found my true desire
Everything surrounding me I count as loss
When I fix my eyes upon the empty cross
Cos on that tree... You gave Your Son for me
Now all I do... is give each breath to You
So help me God, I wanna live for You
To worship You in all things
To love You through and through
Cos only You can satisfy my soul, it’s all for You
It’s all for You
Now I worship You from deep within my heart
For I know that we can never be apart
Loving You... fills me with strength anew
May all I do... always bring praise to You
Chorus

Jesus, King of kings
How mighty is Your name
How beautiful You are, Jesus
Holy Lord of lords
Amazing Son of man
Saviour of the World, Jesus
Let every voice cry out, let every tongue proclaim
The greatness of our God, the wonder of His name
And so we lift our hands, as we lift our praise
For He is worthy, and He is holy, He is Jesus
What can I give to you oh Father?
When you are the holy One who made it all
What can I say to you oh Saviour?
When you already know my every thought
Your power is without measure
Greater than any treasure
Who can compare? Who can compare?
Infinite God, greater than all creation
Who can understand?
Infinite God, ruler of every nation
Heaven and earth are in Your hands
How can you love me so oh Jesus?
When you are so wonderful and I’m so small
How can you cherish me sweet Saviour?
I’m just a sinner, and You’re the Lord of all
Your grace is without measure
Worth more than any treasure
Who can compare? Who can compare?
Chorus
Pre-chorus
Chorus
Listen to a devotion based on this song here
Lord I don’t know what to say
Covered head to toe in sin
Lord please forget about today
I’ve run away from what is right
I’m a dirty, shameful man
And it haunts me every day and every night
Who am I to be loved by You
When I’m not worthy to call Your name
I’ve forgotten how to honour You
I don’t know how to live for You
And all I ever do is rebel against Your love
Have mercy on me
Almighty God of compassion and unfailing love
Wash away my sin
Remove the stain of my guilt, Lord, purify me
Let me see joy and gladness
Let the bones You have crushed rejoice
Have mercy on me
Yet another wasted day
A million ways to praise
But I throw each opportunity away
No love, no passion inside me
My lifestyle makes a mockery
Of my Lord God who died upon a tree
Jesus why do You call for me?
Jesus why did You die for Me?
I crucify You every day
I push You ever far away
Oh why do You still love me Lord,
I don’t deserve Your grace
Chorus
Lost and alone, I come to the throne
To worship the One who made the world
I need You so, so much more than I know
And I surrender everything to You
In the brightness of the day
Your mercy shows the way
And all I wanna do is walk with You
And in the quiet of the night
I long to hold you tight
And for the rest of my life
I’ll be safe in Your arms
You gave Your life, oh what sacrifice
Just to save a sinner like me
Nailed to a tree for the whole world to see
Your blood has washed me clean, now I am free
Chorus
Our Father who art in heaven
Our Father hallowed be Thy name
Our Father who art in heaven
Our Father hallowed be Thy name
Lord may Your kingdom come
Lord may Your will be done
Here on earth as it is in heaven
Give us our daily bread
Lord may our souls be fed
And Father forgive us as we forgive one another
Yours is the kingdom, Yours is the power
Yours is the glory forever and ever
Yours is the kingdom, Yours is the power
Yours is the glory forever and ever
Amen, amen
Our Father who art in heaven
Our Father hallowed be Thy name
Our Father who art in heaven
Our Father hallowed be Thy name
Lord may Your kingdom come
Lord may Your will be done
Here on earth as it is in heaven
And Lord when temptation comes
save us from the evil one
Deliver us Lord, deliver us Lord
